Here's a step-by-step guide on how to configure your BINBOX e-mail service in your Thunderbird e-mail software so you can start enjoying your e-mail service right away in your intended e-mail program.
1) Access your Thunderbird. This is the general aspect of your Thunderbird with no email account set up. It's time to set up your first BINBOX email account.
2) Go to the top menu and click on 'Tools' and then in 'Account Settings'.
3) In the new opened window click on 'Add Mail Account'. Enter in the 'Your name' field the name you want associated with the sender when you send an email. In the 'Email address' field enter the BINBOX email account you wish to set up (eg name@yourdomain.com) and in the 'Password' field, your password associated with the email account you are setting up.
4) In the 'Incoming' and 'Outgoing' fields, please save as follows:
Incoming (IMAP)
Server hostname: mail.DOMAIN.COM
Port: 993
SSL: SSL / TLS
Authentication: Normal password
Outgoing (SMTP)
Server hostname: mail.DOMAIN.COM
Port: 465
SSL: SSL / TLS
Authentication: Normal password
In the 'Username' field, for Incoming/ Outgoing you must enter the email account address you are setting up (Eg. manuelcosta@binbox.email)
