The nameservers configuration is what allows a certain domain to know which servers it should go to get information from DNS records. For the correct functioning of a domain and the services to which it is attached (eg e-mail, website) it is essential that the nameservers are correctly configured.
With WebHS, whenever you purchase a domain together with a shared web hosting service, your domain is automatically configured with the respective infrastructure nameservers where the shared web hosting service will be activated. If you choose only to register the domain, you will also have the possibility to use our DNS management service, provided free of charge with the registration.
Steps to change nameservers
If you want to change the nameservers of your domains, you can do it in a few steps:
1: Access customer area
- Access your WebHS customer area and login.
2: Go to 'Domains' menu
- Go to side menu 'Domains' > 'List domains'.
3: Choose domain
- Click on the domain whose nameservers you want to change.
4: Change nameservers
- In the side menu, click on 'Nameservers'. In this section you can choose 'Use custom nameservers' and define the nameservers you want to configure.
After changing the nameservers, you must wait a few hours for the propagation of the new names by the internet operators.
