One of the first actions to be carried out as soon as you subscribe to our Cloud Backup & Recovery service is to add the first device that you want to be backed up.
Below we indicate step-by-step how you can do it in the main environments quickly by registering the device on our backup platform.
1) Through your customer area, in the 'Services' section and later when managing the 'Cloud Backup & Recovery' service, you will be able to access the service's administration platform.
Alternatively, you can do so by accessing directly through the direct address https://cp.bstorage.pt
2) After login to the platform, in the side menu, access 'Devices' and within this section click on 'Add'. Next, all installers will be presented by type of device and respective environment (Eg: Workstations > Windows).
3) Taking into account the type of device you want to back up and its operating system, download the appropriate agent installer.
Note: In this same section you will be able to define a code or generate a token that will be used to register the device to be added in the backup platform. As an alternative and for the purposes of registering the device, you can use your credentials to access the backup platform.
4) Run the downloaded installer on the device you want to back up.
On Windows:
- Just click on the installer .exe file and on the installation screen set the parameters according to your preference, as well as indicate how to register the device on the platform, as indicated in the note referred to in point 3).
On Linux:
- For the Linux environment, the installer is a .bin file that you can run using a terminal. After executing it, it will only be necessary to install and complete the registration of the device on the platform as indicated in the note referred to in point 3) using the registration code or token.
On macOS:
- After downloading the .dmg installation file, run it by clicking on the 'Install' option. In the final phase of the installation, the device will be registered on the backup platform using a registration code provided by the installer.
After successfully executing the installer, completing the process with the registration of the device on the platform, it will only be necessary to wait a few seconds for the device to be included in the Cloud Backup & Recovery platform of WebHS, being able to later configure and define the backup plan to be associated.
