Via admin panel (cPanel)
There are several platforms where you can manage your domain's DNS, however, first of all, it is important to note that in order to apply what is mentioned in this article, it will be essential that your domain has the WebHS nameservers for web hosting plans in linux environment configured. Only this way will the records configured in your account administration panel (cPanel) be consulted and read in full by the DNS (Domain Name System).
After ensuring the above, access your account administration panel (cPanel) and after logging in, go to the ‘Zone editor’ section.
If you have more than one domain, the domains you have configured in your web hosting plan will be listed. There are several options in front of each of them, some for immediate creation of a specific type of DNS record (+ A Record; + CNAME Record; + MX Record; DNSSEC) and the last 'Manage' to have a general view of all the currently configured DNS records, which you can edit, as well as being able to add new DNS records of any type (A, MX, CNAME, SRV, TXT, DMARC .. etc).
Finally, after editing and/or adding a DNS record, keep in mind that it may not immediately be available for reading by DNS. It may be necessary to wait a period of time (up to a maximum of 48 hours) for the changes/new DNS records to propagate across the internet operators.
Via admin panel (WHM) - reseller panel
If you have a reseller plan in a linux environment with WebHS, you will have access to your cPanel administration panel, under the WHM reseller side. Therefore, you can choose between making DNS changes through cPanel of each account or centrally through WHM.
To access WHM you can use one of the following addresses, replacing ‘DOMAIN.PT’ with your domain.
https://whm.DOMAIN.PT
https://DOMAIN.PT/whm
https://DOMAIN.PT:2087 (using secure port of WHM)
After successfully logging into your WHM administration panel, in the left side menu or through the available search field, identify and access DNS Zone Manager. This section will contain all the domains configured in the web hosting plan(s) available in your reseller plan.
There are several options in front of each of them, some for immediate creation of a specific type of DNS record (+ A Record; + CNAME Record; + MX Record; DNSSEC) and the last 'Manage' to have a general view of all the currently configured DNS records, which you can edit, as well as being able to add new DNS records of any type (A, MX, CNAME, SRV, TXT, DMARC .. etc).
